AdjectiveCaribbean (not comparable)
Proper nounCaribbean
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. The Caribbean is a region consisting of the Caribbean Sea, its islands (most of which enclose the sea), and the surrounding coasts. The region is located southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and North America, east of Central America, and to the north of South America. Situated largely on the Caribbean Plate, the region comprises more than 7,000 islands, islets, reefs, and cays. These islands, called the West Indies, generally form island arcs that delineate the eastern and northern edges of the Caribbean Sea. These islands are called the West Indies because when Christopher Columbus landed there in 1492 he believed that he had reached the Indies (in Asia). The region consists of the Antilles, divided into the larger Greater Antilles which bound the sea on the north and the Lesser Antilles on the south and east (including the Leeward Antilles), and the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands or the Lucayan Archipelago, which are in fact in the Atlantic Ocean north of Cuba, not in the Caribbean Sea. Geo-politically, the West Indies are usually regarded as a sub-region of North America and are organized into 27 territories including sovereign states, overseas departments, and dependencies. Between January 3, 1958, to May 31, 1962, there was a short-lived country called the Federation of the West Indies composed of ten English-speaking Caribbean territories, all of which were then UK dependencies. The region takes its name from that of the Carib, an ethnic group present in the Lesser Antilles and parts of adjacent South America at the time of European contact. From Wikipedia under the

I enjoy going to beach destinations and tanning especially topless, but will only shed my top if other women are doing it, too. Where would you recommend going in the caribbean or mexico to do this? Please recommend hotel, too if you know of one. Thank you! Asked by D - Sun Feb 21 15:33:20 2010 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. The French side of St Martin is all topless. Many hotels in and around Orient Beach. I would look there. At the end of Orient there is a nude area but there tends to be lots of older people there. Was more comfortable in the topless area. Do try St Lucia it is frowned upon there. Answered by Marty - Sun Feb 21 18:00:03 2010 What is the largest Caribbean population in England? Q. Q. One of the major environmental problems in the Caribbean is the Illegal Sand Mining. Once the sand is an essential resource for construction, what solution we might have for this concern? Asked by Gontijo Engenharia - Sun Aug 22 17:10:58 2010 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Very good question! In my point of view, the solution for the ILLEGAL sand mining is the LEGAL sand mining, what means to take the sand from where it will not affect the environment. In the Caribbean Islands, we don t have many areas available to extract the sand. The best option to concider is to find sources in the continent. In British Guyana, there is a company named guyana sand inc which has been created with this proposal. Many governments are considering this new company as the most accessible solution to minimize the illegal sand mining that is affecting the environment heavily in the Caribbean Islands. This company received an internation award for its initiative early this year. I hope my answers satisfy your needs.
