Q. I have worked for AAFES and they said that you can purchase Beer & Wine at 18 on almost all bases outside CONUS. Why is this? Isnt it insulting that you have less freedom back home then when abroad on even a military installation? Also on bases in the U.S. is it easy to get alcohol underage if your a service member being that there are always service member parties? I noticed some people think I mean the middle east, I do not mean the middle east, noticed I said most bases outside of CONUS. Why would we be shot for drinking at 18 on a base in the U.S. but not on a base in Europe or Asia? this logic puzzles me.
