How many correct ways are there to spell the last name, "Anschutz"?
Q. Im typing my friend's name in on an application but it says "Anschutz" does not match. Could this be a typo for an alternative way to spell it? What other ways can you spell "Anschutz?"

A. Anschutz is the name that most commonly appears, in one or two instances I saw too variations, Anschutz with two dots over the (this changes the pronunciation slightly and Anschuets, which is probably a change or misspelling of the original name.

A. Anschuzt is a recognised target rifle and respected world wide. Bolt on a scope from Schmidt and Bender, Leupold or Swarovski for quality optics. For fixed power your looking at min 450 for variable up to and over 1000. Remember to spend on decent rings and mounts. Don't cut corners.

Bases and sights for a Anschutz 64 mpr?
Q. A friend of mine just purchased the above rifle and needs to put some sights on it. He says it has the holes to mount the base. First question is what type of base is recommended for these rifles? Are they the standard Weaver/Picatinny or do they use a different one one? After the base is on, where can he find a good selection of sights for competitive shooting? Thanks.

Which is the best 222Rem factory ammo on the market?
Q. I've just bought a Anschutz 222 Rem and I'm after the most accurate factory ammunition available if someone has a good overall idea of whats on the market?
Asked by Glen R - Mon Oct 6 01:21:38 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I am a ballistics technician. 90% of most shooters do not posess the skills to tell the difference between one box of ammo and another. The 222 was developed in the 1950's - as a result of this age - ammo manufacturer's need to build today's ammo to reflect the age of these 50+ year old guns. The ammo you buy today is quite dummied down from the original loads. If you are in that that 10% of people who actually know what they are doing - good chance no commercial ammo will make you happy. The only way you will get the most out of that rifle - assuming it is in top condition and able to handle original loads - is to begin handloading for that rifle. 222 Rem is becoming an obsolete cartridge. Hope this helps.

Question for guys who shoot 22 rimfire?
Q. I want a bolt action 22 rifle for rabbits and tin cans and such. I have seen that a second hand Brno (CZ) or Anschutz in "good" or "very good" condition costs about the same as a new Marlin . As I will probably get it mail order I won't inspect it first. So what do you think go for the new Marlin or the second hand quality gun ? Or do you have another suggestion ? Perhaps I should have mentioned that I am in Australia and Marlin and Ruger are not as common here as Brno , and it is possible here to get guns by mail order as long as it is mailed to a dealer not direct to the customer.

A. Go with the CZ. Their performance and reliability is legendary for a reason. Since the change in gin laws in your country, parts won't be nearly as easy to come by. By the gun that's least likely to break. The CZ.

Mine was used on a Cabelas rack still gummed up with cosmoline(bolt was packed) mine favors the remington yellow jackets, but shoots well with any high velocity .22, except stingers. I mostly use Rem. Thunderbolts due to no jacket. With its 24in barrel and 5 round mag. it is much better than its german counter part the kkw(kkw was single shot til after french added a mag. then the kkw got one.). The MAS 45 was only manufactured for 1.5 years 1945/early 1946. New I would go with a Savage bolt action for around $120 and do whatever I wanted to, to it.… [cont.]

Q. Best all round bolt action .22LR? Anschutz 22L , CZ brno, Marlin, Browning T-Bolt these particular rifle makes are the ones im choosing from???
Asked by cammo123 - Fri Apr 25 05:46:39 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I own an Anschutz, 3 CZ's, 2 Remingtons (541 and 581), and an old Browning. I like the CZ the best. The 541 has the best trigger (professionally dropped to 1 pound) but it looks so pretty I don't want to scratch up the stock taking it hunting squirrels. The CZ is just as accurate as either Remington and very close to my Anschutz. It cost a whole lot less than the Anschutz, the Browning, or the 541 and I'm not worried about denting the stock while hunting. By the way, one of my CZ's is in 17 mk2, and it is VERY nice and very accurate too. It would be my first choice for a rimfire.

It will be interesting to see how well they can do it for 140m. I don't know if any of the other books are likely to be made, The Silver Chair is the most likely as it has the elements of adventure that the 1st movie had. Maybe also the Magicians Nephew but I think the Horse and his Boy wouldn't be interesting as a film for children. The Last Battle would be okay but it is the most clearly religious of the books and it might not go well in todays secular world.

What is 'The Foundation for a Better Life'?
Q. I've done research on wikipedia and other sites and not found much. I know that it's a charity of some sort that's run by reclusive right-wing billionaire, Philip Anschutz. I know that it that often shows public service announcements on television, radio and at the movies (specifically Regal Cinemas, if I'm not mistaken, because this man owns that company). It all seems so innocent - be kind to each other, love your neighbor, etcetera - but I just get this rather spooky feeling about the whole thing. Maybe I just am seeing a conspiracy where none exists. I mean, it's nice to think that this organization is doing this 'out of the goodness of their heart' but I for some reason suspect otherwise. Does anyone know of any deeper agenda… [cont.]
